Ethics Dumping vs. Equitable Research Partnerships - Why fairness, respect, care and honesty should govern international research collaborations
When researchers from high income settings export unethical research practices to lower income settings, this is likely to be a case of ethics dumping. This can occur wilfully, to exploit weaker governance structures and do research that is prohibited 'at home', or it can occur based on misunderstandings or lack of knowledge. A short presentation will introduce various types of ethics dumping, leading into a discussion with the audience on what cases they might encounter in their own field. The session will conclude with the introduction of the TRUST Code - A Global Code of Conduct for Equitable Research Partnerships.
Die Veranstaltung findet auf Deutsch statt.
