Liebe Kolleg*innen, unsere Kollegin Anna Wukovits-Zethner ist aus der Bildungskarenz zurückgekehrt und wird nun wieder die Bereiche (Wissenschafts-)Kommunikation, Sonderprojekte und Veranstaltungen betreuen. Wir freuen uns, sie wieder im Team der Forschungsförderung zu begrüßen. Des Weiteren dürfen wir derzeit mehrere Gastforscherinnen an der mdw willkommen heißen – ein Zeugnis der internationalen Attraktivität der mdw als Forschungsort: Olga Zaitseva-Herz von der University of Alberta ist als Ernst-Mach-Stipendiatin am MMRC, während Katja Kleyensteuber als Fulbright-Stipendiatin aus den USA am IMP zu Gast ist. Stephanie Franklin von der University of Oxford und Ernst-Mach-Stipendiatin Gabrielle Prud’homme von der Université de Montréal forschen am IMI. Herzlich willkommen! Unsere Glückwünsche gehen an Julia Fent, der wir zum Erhalt des ÖAW PostDoc-Track-Stipendiums gratulieren! Hinweisen möchten wir auf die bevorstehende Änderung der FWF-Richtlinien für PEEK-Projekte und selbstständige Publikationen: ab März wird es keine Einreichfristen mehr geben, Antragstellungen sind dann laufend über das Online-Portal elane möglich. Wir laden Sie herzlich ein, am 2.12. am Workshop Proposal Writing in Artistic Research – PEEK in Kooperation mit dem ZfW teilzunehmen (siehe unten). In Kürze steht mit dem Call für den Förderbereich Europäische Kooperationsprojekte eine der wichtigsten Ausschreibungen des Programms Kreatives Europa KULTUR an: voraussichtlich am 17. November wird der Call veröffentlicht, bis Ende Februar haben Kulturorganisationen aus ganz Europa Zeit, ihre Anträge zu stellen. Interessierte sind eingeladen, am 15. November an einer Online-Session teilzunehmen, die über den Förderbereich und die Förderkriterien informiert. Wir laden Sie ein, sich im November Anregungen und inspirierenden Austausch bei der Vielzahl aktueller wissenschaftlicher Veranstaltungen an der mdw zu holen. In eigener Sache möchten wir dabei auch besonders auf das digitale Angebot hinweisen; so finden Sie nun drei Lectures der heurigen isaScience zum Nachsehen im mdwRepository. Viel Vergnügen!

Dear colleagues, our colleague Anna Wukovits-Zethner has returned from educational leave and is now again in charge of (science) communication, special projects, and events. We are happy to welcome her back to the research support team. We are also pleased to welcome several visiting researchers at mdw – testament to the mdw's international attractiveness as a place of research: Olga Zaitseva-Herz from the University of Alberta is an Ernst-Mach fellow at MMRC, while Katja Kleyensteuber is a Fulbright fellow from the US at IMP. Our congratulations go to Julia Fent, who received the ÖAW PostDoc Track Fellowship! We would like to draw your attention to the upcoming change in the FWF guidelines for PEEK projects and stand-alone publications: as of March, there will no longer be any submission deadlines; applications will then be possible on an ongoing basis via the online portal elane. We cordially invite you to participate in the workshop Proposal Writing in Artistic Research - PEEK in cooperation with the ZfW on December 2 (see below). One of the most important calls of the Creative Europe CULTURE program, the call for the funding area European Cooperation Projects, is coming up soon: the call is expected to be published on November 17, and cultural organizations from all over Europe have until the end of February to submit their applications. Interested parties are invited to participate in an online session on November 15, which will provide information about the funding area and the eligibility criteria. We encourage you to take advantage of the multitude of current scientific events at mdw this November to exchange ideas and gather inspiration. On our own behalf, we would also like to draw special attention to the digital offerings; you can now find three recordings of lectures from this year’s isaScience in the mdwRepository. Enjoy!
