APPLICATION - HOW, WHEN, WHERE?

It is important to consider how the stay abroad fits into the degree program. Also keep in mind that only exams that have not yet been passed at mdw can be recognized during the stay abroad. Visit the websites of the partner institutions and get an overview of what they offer and an impression of whether they suit you and your ideas. Talk to your main lecturer, the head of the institute, incoming students or former outgoing students about your plans. For some destinations you can also find personal reports in the International Blog.

ONLINE APPLICATION AT THE HOST UNIVERSITY
After your application documents have been checked for completeness and approved by the mdw, you can apply at the respective host institution. For the majority of partner institutions, the application is carried out via an online platform. The deadlines of the different partner universities vary and are between the end of January and mid-May. To make sure that you upload your application in time, you should therefore find out about the application deadline as early as possible.

Just like the application deadlines, the period of time when you can expect a response also varies. The decision periods depend very much on the internal processes of the respective partner institutions. As a rule, you will receive an acceptance or rejection 2 to 4 months after submitting your online application.
