The Bulletin of empirical music education Research<\/em><\/a> (b:em) offers an international platform for the publication of high-quality empirical studies, meta-studies and methodological reflections from the entire field of music education research. The international open access journal with double-blind peer review is free of charge for both authors and readers. The journal presents and discusses findings and analyses of music education research in schools and classrooms as well as contributions dedicated to non-formal or informal music-making and teaching\/learning contexts. Submissions from related disciplines are also welcome, provided their relevance to music education is clear.
\nAnother focus is on articles with a methodological or methodological emphasis. They are a valuable contribution to the further development of empirical music education. In addition, each issue contains reviews and conference reports with the aim of promoting internal and international dialog and supporting academic communication. This is particularly important to us in continental Europe.<\/p>\n

The International Journal of Music Mediation<\/em><\/a> (IJMM) is an interdisciplinary, English-language, double-blind peer-reviewed diamond open access journal dealing with music mediation as a hybrid discipline in all its facets. The core of the journal consists of scholarly articles that reflect the most current state of the academic discourse. In addition, the journal is open to practice reflections, interviews by and with practitioners from the field, portraits and conference reports in order to facilitate an exchange between research and practice. Book reviews promote awareness and critical engagement with relevant, current literature on the topic.
\nIJMM encourages a diversity of approaches and methods, and invites contributions from empirical, theoretical and artistic research. The journal addresses the scholarly community as well as the field of practice (music mediators, musicians, cultural organizations, policy makers) and also serves as a useful resource for students.\n<\/p>\n

Music & Minorities<\/em><\/a> (M&M) is dedicated to the scholarly exploration of the multi-dimensional field introduced by the concepts of “music” and “minorities”. M&M is a peer-reviewed English-language, online-only, fee-free, \u201cdiamond\u201d open access journal. It is edited by the Music and Minorities Research Center (MMRC) at mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and published by mdwPress.<\/p>\n

The journal is inclusive of music, dance, and other sound-based social phenomena. The term “minority” refers to communities, groups, and\/or individuals that are at risk of discrimination on grounds of ethnicity, race, religion, language, gender, sexual orientation, disability, political opinion, displacement, social or economic deprivation, and their intersections.<\/p>\n
