Fiona Pollak wurde in Wien geboren. Den ersten Klavierunterricht erhielt sie im Alter von fünf Jahren an der Musikschule in Wien. Sie studierte Klavier, Klavier-Kammermusik und Orgel (Rudolf Scholz) an der mdw – Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. Seit 2010 ebendort auch Klavier-Vokalbegleitung bei David Lutz.

Auslandsstudien führten sie 2013 an die Guildhall School of Music and Drama nach London in die Meisterklasse von Graham Johnson.

Seit 2012 ist sie Stadtorganistin von Korneuburg und pflegt eine rege Konzerttätigkeit im In- und Ausland. In jüngster Zeit beschäftigt sie sich in ihrer Doktorarbeit intensiv mit der Aufarbeitung des Liedschaffens von Walter Bricht. Sie ist Gewinnerin zahlreicher Wettbewerbe, sowohl als Solistin, als auch als Ensemble-Partnerin; zuletzt mit ihrem Bruder und Duo-Partner Angelo Pollak bei den Liedwettbewerben in Vaals (1. Preis) und Enschede (3. Preis)

Weiterführende Studien führten sie bisher u.a. zu Paul Badura-Skoda, Altenberg Trio, Graham Johnson, KS Brigitte Fassbaender, KS Robert Holl, Helmut Deutsch, Rudolf Janson, Roger Vignoles, Sarah Walker, Ben Luxon, Ian Burnside,...

Fiona Pollak was born in Vienna. She took her first piano lessons at the age of five at the Music School in Vienna. She studied piano, piano chamber music, and organ (Rudolf Scholz) at the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Since 2010, she has studied Piano-Vocal Accompaniment there with David Lutz.

She studied abroad in 2013 at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in masterclasses with Graham Johnson.

Since 2012, she has been city organist in Korneuburg and leads a busy concert schedule here and abroad. Recently, she has occupied herself intensively with the reconstruction of Walter Bricht’s art song works as part of her doctoral thesis.

She is winner of numerous competitions both as soloist and ensemble partner, most recently with her brother and duo partner Angelo Pollak at the Lied Competition in Vaals (1st Prize) and Enschede (3rd Prize).

Further studies have led her to Paul Badura-Skoda, Graham Johnson, KS Brigitte Fassbaender, KS Robert Holl, Helmut Deutsch, Rudolf Janson, Roger Vignoles, Sarah Walker, Ben Luxon, Ian Burnside, and the Altenberg Trio.
