His work moves between experimental music, improvisation, performance, and artistic research, with a particular focus on the relation between musical action, reflection, cognition, and embodied knowledge.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He studied double bass at the jazz department of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and completed a doctorate in artistic research at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. His doctoral project, Performing Reflection: Improvisation in Word, Thought and Action, investigated the simultaneous unfolding of double bass improvisation and spoken theoretical reflection. The project explored how reflection-in-action can become part of performance itself, combining musical improvisation, verbal thought, artistic research, and concepts from improvisation studies.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Kri\u017ei\u0107&#8217;s artistic practice spans contemporary jazz, experimental music, free improvisation, and interdisciplinary performance. He has performed and presented work in various international contexts and has participated in artistic residencies, conferences, and research-oriented performance formats.
