Seine k\u00fcnstlerische Arbeit umfasst unterschiedlichste Bereiche h\u00f6rbarer und medien\u00ad\u00fcbergreifender Kunst, mit Fokus auf lautsprecherbasierter Musik, elektroakustischer Improvisation, sowie Installationen und Interventionen.<\/p>\n<p>Seine Ausbildung erfolgte durch Studien der technischen Physik in Linz, der Computermusik und elektronischen Medien, sowie mit dem individuellen Master-Studium der interaktiven elektronischen Instrumente in Wien. Er erwarb ein Doktorat in Komposition und Musiktheorie der Universit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz. Post-Doc-Forschung folgte am \u00d6sterreichischen Forschungsinstitut f\u00fcr Artificial Intelligence (OFAI) im Bereich maschinellen H\u00f6rens und Lernens.<\/p>\n<p>Grill wurde f\u00fcr seine Arbeiten eine Honorary Mention des Prix Ars Electronica, der Theodor-K\u00f6rner-Preis, der Award of Excellence des \u00f6sterreichischen Ministeriums f\u00fcr Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung, der Outstanding Artist Award f\u00fcr Interdisziplinarit\u00e4t (Bonus-Preis) des \u00f6sterreichischen Bundeskanzleramtes sowie eine Reihe von Arbeitsstipendien zuerkannt.<\/p>\n<p>An der MDW ist er Leiter des <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elakwien.at\">Universit\u00e4tslehrgangs f\u00fcr elektroakustische und experimentelle Musik (ELAK)<\/a>. In den Jahren 2018\u20132022 leitete er das mehrj\u00e4hrige Projekt k\u00fcnstlerischer Forschung <a href=\"http:\/\/rottingsounds.org\">\u201eRotting Sounds\u201c<\/a>.
