Overview
The ELAK Sound Projection Lab (ELAK-SPL) is a generic system for experimental/electroacoustic music performance. We develop and acquire components for sound recording, sound reinforcement and performance control.
Currently, we work on the following main components:
-
ELAK-SPL HDLA: A massively multichannel, mobile/modular loudspeaker system with at least 256 individually addressable channels. It can be set up as a high-density loudspeaker array (HDLA) for High order ambisonics, Wavefield synthesis or beamforming applications.
-
ELAK-SPL PA: A high-quality full-range PA system, for mono/stereo/quad or eight-channel usage.
-
ELAK-SPL AmbiRec: A high-quality 2nd-order Ambisonics recording system, consisting of a Sound Devices field recorder, a Coresound Octomic microphone with a high-quality windshield.
-
ELAK-SPL HoloRec: A holophonic recording system based on MEMS microphones
-
ELAK-SPL Ctrl: A high-quality modular motor fader controller
