☞ Research Conclave 2026
The Research Conclave (Klausur der Wissenschaften, short KdW) has established itself as a cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary event for researchers at the mdw. It offers researchers at the mdw the opportunity to network and to make research projects visible during the PosterCraze.

☞ Mental Wealth Program 2026
The LBG Career Center offers a program for researchers, helping them improve mental health, manage stress, understand their emotions, and enhance personal development. Applied psychoeducation actively engages participants in exercises and strategies designed to address real-life challenges. Mental wealth goes beyond traditional definitions of mental health, focusing on the broader resources and capacities individuals or communities possess to maintain well-being, resilience, and productivity.
The goal of this special program is to provide you with knowledge about basic psychological concepts as well as practical exercises that have been shown to foster well-being.

☞ Science Communication in French
In partnership with the Institut français of Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as local universities, the Institut français d'Autriche and the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien) are organising the 8th regional competition, 'Ma thèse en 180 secondes', for Central Europe. The competition invites doctoral students to present their PhD thesis in French in just three minutes.
"MT180" is a scientific communication exercise: the aim is to explain your research in a way that is understandable and accessible to a general audience. It also offers the chance to practise public speaking.

☞ PhD in the Arts — Call for Applications
Mozarteum University Salzburg invites applications for its PhD program in the Arts, a doctoral program in artistic research. Artists from any field of practice are encouraged to apply, including but not limited to music, the visual arts, theatre, dance, film, digital media and design.
The doctoral program focuses on the potential of artistic processes to articulate themselves as research, highlighting their capacity for creative and critical reflection. In this context, artistic practice serves as both the subject of investigation and the primary method through which research is conducted. The program is set within a collaborative research environment that fosters artistic and scholarly exchange and collaboration. It is supported by extensive infrastructure including specialised spaces, equipment, instruments and library resources.

☞ Doctoral Fellowship Program of the Austrian Academy of Sciences
The DOC Fellowship Program of the Austrian Academy of Sciences offers funding for highly qualified doctoral candidates in all areas of research. The fellowships are intended to allow young researchers to dedicate themselves to working in focused fashion to complete their doctoral thesis within a clear timeframe.

☞ Mannagetta Fellowship
Mannagetta Fellowships support the completion of a doctoral thesis and target young, highly qualified doctoral candidates who are pursuing their doctoral studies at a university in Austria. The amount of the fellowship is 25.000,- Euro (super gross).
The fellowship is intended to help cover living expenses. Further costs, such as travel or printing allowances, cannot be applied for.
