Zita Tschirk achieved the highest honours in the master diploma for concert piano at the Liszt Ferenc University of Music in Budapest. Following master classes with György Cziffra and Zoltan Kocsis, she completed a four year course of Lied accompaniment at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Since 2001, she is teaching at the Department of Voice and Musical Theatre.

As a soloist, Zita Tschirk won six times the Young Musicians Contest in Györ and received awards at the Hungarian National Contest, the Liszt Ferenc Contest in Budapest, the Concertino in Prague and the Hummel Contest in Bratislava. In 2002, she accompanied the winner of the Salzburg Mozart Contest, Genia Kühmeier, and in 2005, the winner of the Gradus ad Parnassum, Martin Achrainer.

Both as a solo pianist and an accompanist, Zita Tschirk has performed in several European countries. She also contributed to broadcast, chamber music and ensemble recordings. On ORF TV, she appeared with Anna Hauf in 2005 and with Daniela Fally in 2009. The program of her Lied recital with Genia Kühmeier at Salzburg in 2006 is available on CD. As an accompanist, she is focusing on Art Nouveau and 20th century music.
