DIETMAR SCHERMANN

born on 24 April 1957 in Mödling.

After completion of secondary school in 1975, studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.

Spring 1982 diplomas in composition and coaching and in 1983 diplomas in orchestral conducting and choral conducting.

In addition to freelance activities as composer, coach, and conductor, lecturer in composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.

Starting on 1 March 1992 full professor and head of a chair for harmony and counterpoint (composition) at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.

Performances of his own compositions at home and abroad. Numerous prizes and awards.
