1983-1993 university lecturer for music theory and musicology at the Hamburg Conservatory,

1990/1991 one semester as guest lecturer at the Ibadan, Ilorin, and Nsukka Universities in Nigeria,

since 1993 professorial chair in form and analysis at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
